Compliance & Professional Standards.

Creating an unforgettable animal experience requires much more than simply bringing an animal to an event.

Every experience arranged through Exotic Animals is planned around three priorities: guest safety, responsible animal care, and professional execution.

From your first inquiry through event day, our team serves as your single point of contact for planning, logistics, animal selection, documentation, scheduling, and event coordination.

Behind the scenes, we maintain a growing network of experienced animal professionals and regional resources across the United States, allowing us to assemble the appropriate team for each experience while keeping the process simple for our clients.

One company. One point of contact. One professionally managed experience.

OUR COMMITMENT

Exotic Animals produces and coordinates professionally managed animal experiences for private events, corporate activations, weddings, educational programs, photography, film, television, and special productions.

Depending on the species, event and location, an experience may be fulfilled by our own operating resources or in collaboration with qualified animal professionals within our national network.

In either case, our standards remain the same.

We plan experiences around:

  1. Responsible animal care and welfare
  2. Experienced professional animal handlers
  3. Appropriate licensing and regulatory compliance
  4. Insurance and venue documentation
  5. Safe animal transportation and setup
  6. Controlled guest interactions
  7. Professional event-day execution

Our clients shouldn’t have to locate animal providers, coordinate multiple companies, chase documentation, or determine which professional is appropriate for a particular species.

Tell us what you want to accomplish. We help put the right experience together.

LICENSED & REGULATED ANIMAL PROFESSIONALS

Animal exhibition and transportation requirements can vary significantly depending on the species, state, municipality, venue, and type of event or production.

That’s why every booking is reviewed individually.

When applicable to a particular experience, the animal professionals assigned to an event may operate under or maintain requirements such as:

  1. USDA licenses
  2. State wildlife licenses or permits
  3. Local or municipal approvals
  4. Animal transportation requirements
  5. Health documentation
  6. Venue-specific insurance and compliance requirements

For experiences fulfilled with one of our regional partners, we work with established animal professionals and require appropriate credentials for the animals and services they provide.

When documentation is required by a venue, production company, municipality, or other authority, our team can help coordinate those requirements as part of the planning process.

ONE POINT OF CONTACT — NATIONWIDE

One of the greatest advantages of working with Exotic Animals is simplicity.

You don’t need to find one company for a camel, another for exotic birds, another for reptiles, and someone else when your event moves to another state.

Start with us.

Our team can coordinate the appropriate animals, handlers and regional resources for your experience while remaining your central point of contact throughout the project.

We can assist with:

  1. Animal selection and availability
  2. Event concepts and experience design
  3. Quotes and proposals
  4. Scheduling and logistics
  5. Handler and animal-team coordination
  6. Venue requirements
  7. Insurance and COI requests
  8. Compliance documentation
  9. Transportation considerations
  10. Event-day planning

For agencies, planners and production companies producing events in multiple markets, this creates an especially valuable relationship:

One national resource for extraordinary animal experiences.

PROFESSIONAL HANDLERS REMAIN IN CONTROL

Every interactive animal experience includes professional animal supervision.

The animal professional responsible for an animal always retains final authority regarding the animal’s handling, positioning and interaction with guests.

Handlers may:

  1. Adjust animal positioning or guest proximity
  2. Limit the number of guests interacting at one time
  3. Modify an interaction based on the animal’s behavior
  4. Pause an experience when necessary
  5. Move an animal to a quieter or safer location
  6. End an interaction if conditions become unsafe

Guests who appear intoxicated, aggressive, disruptive or unable to follow handler instructions may be prohibited from interacting with animals.

Children participating in animal interactions must follow handler instructions and, when appropriate, remain under the supervision of a parent or responsible adult.

The animal professional’s decision regarding safety and welfare is always final.

VENUE & SITE REQUIREMENTS

Different animals require different environments.

A flamingo photo activation has very different logistical requirements from a camel appearance, reptile encounter or large-animal production.

Before an event, we may review factors including:

  1. Available space
  2. Ground and flooring surfaces
  3. Indoor versus outdoor placement
  4. Temperature and climate
  5. Shade and shelter
  6. Loading and unloading access
  7. Truck and trailer access
  8. Parking and staging areas
  9. Guest flow and crowd size
  10. Noise and entertainment conditions
  11. Animal access routes
  12. Venue restrictions

For more complex experiences, photographs, measurements, site plans or a venue walkthrough may be requested before final approval.

Public parks, beaches, municipal facilities and certain private venues may also require advance permission or additional permits.

Our team will help identify these considerations during the planning process so there are no unnecessary surprises on event day.

WEATHER & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Animal welfare and guest safety always take priority over a schedule.

Many events can continue during ordinary changes in weather. However, severe conditions such as lightning, extreme heat, dangerous winds, flooding or other environmental hazards may require an experience to be delayed, modified, relocated or discontinued.

Whenever possible, we work with clients and venues in advance to identify appropriate shelter or contingency options.

Once animals and event personnel have been dispatched, weather-related refunds may be limited or unavailable according to the terms of the individual booking agreement.

Specific weather policies are provided with your proposal or event agreement.

INSURANCE & DOCUMENTATION

Insurance requirements can vary considerably between a backyard birthday party, luxury hotel, convention center, commercial production and municipal event.

Our team can coordinate applicable insurance documentation for your specific experience.

When required, Certificates of Insurance (COIs) can typically be provided for qualifying bookings, subject to the coverage associated with the animal team and experience being provided.

If your venue or production requires:

  • Specific liability limits
  • Additional insured status
  • Special COI language
  • Workers’ compensation documentation
  • Automobile coverage
  • Specific contractual insurance requirements

please provide those requirements before booking whenever possible so they can be reviewed and confirmed.

ANIMAL WELFARE

Great animal experiences begin with animals that are properly cared for.

The professionals within our operating network are expected to prioritize appropriate:

  1. Veterinary care
  2. Nutrition and hydration
  3. Housing and habitat
  4. Enrichment
  5. Transportation
  6. Rest periods
  7. Climate considerations
  8. Species-appropriate handling
  9. Limits on public interaction

We do not believe that creating a memorable photograph or guest experience should come at the expense of an animal’s wellbeing.

Handlers may modify or discontinue an interaction whenever they determine that an animal needs rest or that environmental or guest conditions are no longer appropriate.

Animal welfare takes priority over getting “one more photo.”

A NATIONAL RESOURCE WITH LOCAL EXPERTISE

Our goal is bigger than simply providing animals for events.

We are building Exotic Animals into a trusted national resource for professionally managed animal experiences.

Our South Florida headquarters provides decades of special-event and animal-experience knowledge, while our expanding regional network allows us to support projects throughout the United States.

Depending on your location and requested animals, your experience may involve members of our established operating network or qualified regional animal partners selected for that particular project.

Either way, Exotic Animals remains your primary planning resource and point of contact.

That means you can come to us with the vision:

“We want flamingos at a Miami brand activation.”

“We need a camel for an Atlanta production.”

“Our agency needs exotic animals for events in three different states.”

“We’re shooting a commercial and don’t even know which animals are realistically available.”

That’s where we come in.

You bring us the idea. We help determine how to execute it professionally.

Ready to Create Something Extraordinary?

nationwide campaigns, our team can help you determine what’s possible.
